How I spent my holiday weekend

I've been considering getting a kindle for a long time & I picked one up this past Friday. I had started listening to The Hunger Games earlier in the day & by Sunday I had it finished & started the next book.

I like the kindle because I can listen & knit (if the publisher enabled the speech to text feature) and then I can pick up where I left off if I prefer to just read. The automated voice is strange --the female one less so than the male--and takes some getting used to, but now its easier for me to finish a book.

I spent the majority of the weekend in the hammock. I read. Napped. Knit. Read. Well, you get the idea.

I've made excellent progress on my project for the Sexy Knitter KAL--vests/sleeveless tops. I have another month before the cast off deadline & I think I'll make it. Probably would have been done by now if I hadn't knit & tinker the same inch 5x earlier in the month. Stitch markers saved my sanity.

May your Memorial Day be a day to give thanks, to celebrate/play & recharge.
